PROJECT // 32   Cobb Farms CRP Improvement Plan

Jack Cobb, a Korean War Veteran on a fixed income, relies heavily upon the CRP program and the state-level Texas Public Hunting Lands program to keep his farm and pay the annual state property taxes. Mr. Cobb approached us at One-Up DroneWorX requesting help in documenting the improvement of the plant health order to demonstrate to the state that he was desperately doing what he could to keep his valuable lease agreement with Texas. This particular CRP area had not been mowed, plowed or burned in over two decades, and was actually so dense that upland game bird populations he relied on had vanished. It was so thick, hunters struggled to traverse it. But Mr. Cobb had a plan.

Cobb wanted to mow a patchwork of 30' wide walking lanes. allowing for a better habitat for quail and pheasant chicks to scratch for seeds, bugs and legumes. The lanes will be rotated each year.

Cobb also wanted some evergreen shrubs and trees planted around the plot for avian habitat reproduction, roosting, and protection from harsh weather. For this, his idea was to join the Arbor Day Foundation. With only a $10 membership, ADF sends ten free trees!

One-Up's initial flight documented a high-resolution ortho-mosaic map the current state of the overgrown property prior to any improvements. Over the course of the next few years, our Mavic 3 Pro will fly the exact same mission path, utilizing cutting-edge Artificial Intelligent flight planning software as well as our access to NDVI rendering to capture the land transformation over time.

One-Up DroneWorX is proud to be of assistance to one of our country's heroes. Thank you Mr. Cobb for your service to our beloved country.

PROJECT // 68  Colorado Fly Fishing :   A View from Above!
Amarillo, Texas drone pilot, aerial photography and video
Aerial video and photography services in Amarillo, Texas

Chad McPhail and Guy Wilkins have been fly fishing buddies for over a decade. They've fished all over Texas, New Mexico and Colorado together and have taken countless pictures and videos of one another catching (and not catching) fish.

On a trip to Colorado, Chad experimented with the drone and caught some extremely unique perspectives of casting, mending, hook-setting and wading.

Once edited in the One-Up DroneWorX studio, the results were more breathtaking than hoped. You can see the fully-edited 12-minute video on our YouTube channel by clicking here. You can also view more of One-Up's edited aerial videos on their YouTube home page
